Fees and payment options
Once you have seen your dental surgeon and before the treatment starts, you will be given a Treatment Plan and the costs involved with any treatment
NHS Payment
There are three bands of charges for all NHS dental treatments.
The current dental charges are:
Band 1 dental treatment: £22.70
Depending on what is necessary, an example of a Band 1 treatment could include
a clinical examination, radiographs and tooth cleaning.
An urgent consultation will usually cost £18.80.
Band 2 dental treatment: £62.10
Depending on what is necessary, if on examination, as in the example above, a cavity requiring a filling is identified, this treatment would fall into Band 2.
Band 3 dental treatment: £269.30
Depending on what is necessary, a Band 3 treatment could include a couple of fillings, as in a Band two above, but may also include more complex treatment such as a crown.
